Current educational paradigm has changed. Education not only in the realm of home, school and surrounding neighborhood, but have virtual worlds (cyber world).
So what kind of change? …

“We increasingly globalized world with the complexity and modernization. There was an explosion of growth in the field of information and communication “. So according Satria Dharma (Chairman of Indonesian Teachers Club) in the seminar. Like it or not we’ve been dildalamnya, in a world of rapid information technology development is still happening despite gradual. So what is effective steps to popularize information technology (IT), especially in the world Education.?

This fact is a lot of touching and made many changes in every side of life also includes the education world. We can put that education is integral in the IT (Information Technology). Or vice versa. But in the IT and education each have components that are interconnected with each other. Where as the components that will change also affect other components. And teachers and students are some of these components.
“Maybe” it’s not a problem if the teachers are more used to know (forward) in the context of the IT changes. It is inversely related to the fact that there are mainly in big cities. Terms emails, facebook, myspace, google (Search engine), blogs, downloads, uploads, and so familiar among students / students. And all we can only meet in cyberspace, a world that is the picture of the future. And education should be designed to prepare students for life in the future. While the teacher as the spearhead of education was not, not, or less contact the IT world it is.
Departure from these conditions, “IT literacy” to further the strategic role of IT for education becomes quite urgent (urgent) among a bunch of our education problems are still many do not (yet) bersolusi. How much education is the breath of life that we could equal measure urgent (urgency) issue.
In a half-day seminar “The World is My Class”, May 30, 2009, speaker Prof. Dr. R. Eko Indrajit, M. Sc (IT practitioner and observer of Education), presented the answer to the problem. First of ourselves, both learned to “IT literate”, and the third to be “shamans” of IT, that are willing to help the people (teachers) who need information or learn about IT. These three points are effective enough to answer the problems, if the facilities and regulations are met, although not completely.

Facilities and the existing regulations is another component that is closely related to these issues. Classic indeed! … They can indeed we regard as supporting the solution. Or with the conditions and regulations means that minimum, we can still socialize IT. In consequence we will work double (more severe).
Just like a profession is a logical consequence of the demands of professionalism. Where it can be seen from the teacher’s ability to effectively implement learning, meaningful. There are other things to keep in mind that teachers are human beings, which should also meet the needs of both material as well other non-material. Minimal for primary needs everyday. hard work that will be more severe when the mandate as a teacher as a tangent to the side of ordinary people had.

Teachers who succeed are the teachers who can create human beings learning. Up to this point, in the end it can only depend on each individual (the teachers). Or at least this discourse can open and insight inspire educators / teachers in improving the professionalism in the face of the digital age in the world of education.
