Tip 1: Adjust the settings

As you can see, there are 4 parts here: Memory Usage, Scratch Disks, History & Cache and GPU Settings. We see the first three.

Memory Usage
Photoshop uses a lot of RAM, and coupled with the OS that we use. The amount of RAM usage can be adjusted in Photoshop – you can set it as needed. It all depends on the amount of RAM that is owned, foxes became 55-65% (for which only has 2GB of RAM) and 70-75% (for those who have 4GB of RAM or more).

Scratch Disks

History & Cache

Unfortunately, in Photoshop you can even adjust the amount of History States or undo but more and more regulated – the more memory used. Normally, the History States set to 20, where, will make the computer become very slow. That will slow down Photoshop, especially when you work on images with large enough capacity. Arrange a 10-15 and it will run more smoothly.

Cache levels are used to improve screen redraw speed rendering and histograms. Choose more cache levels for larger documents for fewer layers, or less cache levels for fewer documents for more layers. You can choose from 1 to 8.

Tip 2: Clear your Clipboard
Again and again – the problem of RAM. Clipboard Photoshop using lots of RAM and if you copy some large-capacity image and move it to a new document, it will still linger in the clipboard. Clear your RAM by deleting unnecessary data in the clipboard. To do it all, simply click edit and Purge:

Tip 3: Men-Defrag Your Hard Drive
Particularly for small capacity hard drives, fragmentation is a problem. Use Windows Defragmenter to optimize your hard disk at all times. Do it once a month if necessary. Just follow these commands, Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Disk Defragmenter. Select the drive that needs to defrag and click the Defragment button.
